Leonard H. Goldenson's personal papers and subsequently his business records were donated to the USC School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) in

Los Angeles under the direction of his daughter, Loreen Arbus. Several institutions were considered for this gift. According to Arbus, SCA was chosen because they clearly understood the importance of preserving Leonard

H. Goldenson’s legacy for future generations. Arbus felt that USC’s renowned program was unmatched in the depth, breadth and excellence of its Cinematic

Arts curriculum. She was also impressed with the School’s commitment to and strong support for interdisciplinary fields of study, as well as the fact that students are very involved and encouraged to reference the primary sources available to them. Arbus also loved the idea that the Leonard H. Goldenson Collection would be a part of a rotating collection publicly displayed for students to enjoy.
